"Bar Month" at OnMilwaukee is brought to you by Miller Brewing Company, calling Milwaukee home since 1855. For the entire month of March, we're serving up fun articles on bars, clubs and beverages – including guides, the latest trends, bar reviews, the results of our Best of Bars poll and more. Grab a designated driver and dive in!

Soon enough, it'll be Opening Day for the Milwaukee Brewers – which also means it'll be the opening of Miller Park's newest, and guaranteed to be one of its tastiest, attractions: the new Local Brews bar.

Located on the Loge Level near section 207, Local Brews will serve 24 beers – all, as the name would imply, made by exclusively Wisconsin breweries. And recently, Miller Park unveiled which Sconnie suds made the official tap list for the local-focused bar.

Here's what brews will be on deck while the Brewers step up to the plate (baseball puns!):

  • 5th Element – Rye India Pale Ale, One Barrel Brewing Company, Madison
  • Anniversary Lager – Marzen Lager, Leinenkugel's, Chippewa Falls
  • Badger Club Amber – Amber Lager, Wisconsin Brewing Co., Verona

"Dating back to the days when Frederick Miller first brought his brewing operation to the city, Milwaukee’s heritage has been built around producing great beer," said Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger, in a press release.

"The new Local Brews bar is part of our commitment to creating a food and beverage experience crafted around great Wisconsin traditions. We applaud the efforts of our friend at MillerCoors and these local craft breweries as we unveil what we know will be a very popular destination at Miller Park."

The new Local Brews bar is just one part of Miller Park's current food and beverage service overhaul for the upcoming season, adding and redesigning the Field Level concourse bars and vendors into the "First Base Ward" and "Third Base Ward" as well as emphasizing Milwaukee and Wisconsin culture in the spaces.

Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for a first look at the new Miller Park renovations as the season draws closer.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
