It's "Throwback Night" Friday, when the Mustangs host the Philadelphia Soul at 7 p.m. Milwaukee will be clad in purple and teal jerseys that harkens back to the '90s.

But the Mustangs only need to look back a few weeks to gain inspiration for a win against the team that leads the American Conference's East Division. Milwaukee (4-7) pulled off a thrilling 64-63 upset win in Philly back on May 5. Beating the Soul at home won't be easy, but it certainly can be done.

Philadelphia (9-3) has an extremely potent offense, but it's not always in the conventional pass-happy AFL sense. Last week, in a 79-48 drubbing of Orlando, Soul fullback Derrick Ross rushed for five touchdowns. Ross, who leads the league with 23 rushing TDs, had 84 yards on the ground on just nine carries. Philadelphia leads the AFL in scoring offense (67.8 points a game) in large part due to an outstanding rushing attack.

Quarterback Dan Raudabaugh has also done his part. Raudabaugh averages 272.8 passing yards per game. His favorite wide receiver is Tiger Jones, who was a standout for Milwaukee in 2010. Jones averages nearly 125 yards per game and has reached the end zone 26 times.

The Soul's secondary is capable of making life difficult for opposing quarterbacks. Kent Richardson is second in the AFL with nine interceptions, while Rayshaun Kizer has six picks on the season. It won't be easy for Milwaukee to pick up a win against the Soul, a team that's ranked second in the latest AFL power rankings, but the Mustangs have proven that they're capable of beating the best teams in the league.
