Passing the time with some friends and a few drinks can make for a fun time, but it won't do much for you if you're hungry.

Thankfully, many Milwaukee bars have your back, offering up everything from M&Ms to peanuts to stave off hunger pangs out on the town.

The latter comes courtesy of AJ Bombers, this year's OnMilwaukee.com readers' pick for best bar snacks. While not heaven sent, their free peanuts are the next closest thing, arriving to your table via overhead "P-nut bombs."

AJ Bombers takes the top spot away from last year's pick, Paddy's Pub. Paddy's dropped to third, but still takes the editors' pick because, hey, we're all for peanuts, but getting them in a candy-coated chocolate shell is even sweeter.
