The Outsider at the Kimpton Journeyman

The Outsider is certainly in style when it comes to Milwaukee's bustling hotel bar scene – at least according to OnMilwaukee Best of Bars poll voters, who voted the scenic Third Ward hotspot the best of the bunch for the third straight year. And with a delicious lineup of cocktails and beverages, a cool atmosphere heated by modern fireplaces and, of course, one of the best views in the entire city, it's no surprise that this top-floor hotel bar is top-flight amongst OnMilwaukee readers.

And that's all in addition to The Outsider winning the title of best bar for a first date as well! A strong year for the Kimpton Journeyman's signature spot; we can't wait to drop back in soon! (But we will wait because we're being responsible public citizens.)

While The Outsider finished comfortably on top, the rest of the top five are by no means motel dives. The slick scenic vibes of Blu in The Pfister Hotel scored second place, while County Clare's transporting powers earned it a well-deserved third. Branded at the Iron Horse Hotel raced its way into fourth place while The Bar at the artful Saint Kate rounds out this fantastic five. 

OnMilwaukee editors' pick: Pfister Lobby Lounge

While readers love the high life at The Pfister at Blu, the editors at OnMilwaukee went with the first-rate first-floor option of The Pfister Lobby Lounge, an incredibly cozy little nook with comfortable seating and an outstanding bar with even better drinks. It's so good, you may have to remind yourself to leave the lobby.
