It’s as important as ever to support the amazing collection of local restaurants that we have in our beautiful city. And there’s no better way to do so than committing to patronize them throughout the year. To guide you on your journey, I’ve composed a list of 52 amazing restaurants. Try just one of these every week and you’ll have visited them all by the end of 2024.  View the full list OR download an abbreviated printable PDF file for your fridge or wallet.

Restaurants with a friendly, welcoming vibe tend to make the top of everyone’s list. And such it is with Goodkind where the people are as delightful as the fare. It’s among my favorite spots to sidle up to the bar with a friend for a later-than-average dinner. And thanks to their excellent seasonally driven cocktail menu, it’s also one of my favorite spots for drinks and noshes.  Bonus: they're open on Sunday and Monday nights!

The menu changes frequently, so there’s always something new to enjoy, including specials that warrant particular attention. You can always count on their Tuesday night burger special, which now comes in a choice of beef or housemade veggie burger form!

And, when in doubt, you can always count on their crispy-skinned rotisserie chicken that’s as flavorful as it is tender thanks to its dry brine with fennel pollen or their housemade pasta.  I'm a sucker for the Spicy Crab Pasta. But, more recently, I've been digging their Linguini Alla Carbonara featuring bits of Smoking Goose guanciale, Pecorino Romano, eggs, black pepper and pea shoots.

Oh, yes. Be sure to save room for dessert!  The gateau basque is where it's at.

Recommended: Champagne battered oyster mushrooms; spicy crab pasta; lavender-rubbed lamb
