Brewers right-hander Ben Sheets will throw on the side this afternoon in Minnesota. If all goes well, Sheets could throw a simulated game Thursday at Miller Park and then embark on a minor-league rehab assignment at some point around the all-star break.

Sheets, who has been out since early May with shoulder tendinitis, will likely need at least two and possibly three minor-league outings before he returns  to the Brewers.
