For most of their 20-year run at the Bradley Center, the Admirals have brought in national recording acts for post-game concerts.

Some of the artists to hit the ice: The Village People, Eddie Money, Phil Vassar, Cheap Trick, REO Speedwagon and Sugarland.

The Admirals plan another big post-game concert Jan. 5, when they take on Chicago on Rich Peverley bobblehead night.

The artist won't be announced at 7:20 a.m. Monday on WKTI (94.5 FM). A teaser item on the Admirals Web site promises that it is a band that has been together more than 20 years and has had numerous No. 1 hits.

Our spies tipped us off to the identity of the band.

Drumroll, please....

The Goo-Goo Dolls.

After making an appearance at the Packers-Lions game on Thanksgiving Day and an AIDS awareness benefit Saturday night in South Africa, the Goos play a show next weekend in Scottsdale, Ariz., take a break for Christmas and reconvene for a New Year's Eve gig in Las Vegas before hitting Milwaukee for a post-game concert that should please hockey and music fans alike. Remember, you heard it here first.
