All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2014."
Anodyne Coffee Company, the Milwaukee-based coffee roastery and cafe, will open at the Milwaukee Public Market on Tuesday, Oct. 7, making it the latest addition to the Historic Third Ward destination.
In July, OnMilwaukee.com first reported the addition of Anodyne, whose coffee is featured in some of the most popular eateries in town – including La Merenda, Odd Duck, Honey Pie, AP Bar and Kitchen, C. 1880 and Comet Cafe – to name a few. Anodyne is moving into roughly 500-square feet of space on the southwest corner of the market, across from Margarita Paradise and The Spice House.
The newly renovated area includes a full coffee bar with seating for up to 10 people, a retail area and a manual coffee station where coffee fans can choose from various coffees to be brewed by the cup, fresh on the spot. The new bar counter top is made of wood beams recycled from Anodyne’s Bruce Street building. The encaustic cement tiles for the front of the bar are a handmade, environmentally friendly product.
To celebrate its opening at the market, Anodyne will offer a 20 percent discount on bags of its new Milwaukee Public Market Blend coffee, sold exclusively their market location, during October.
Anodyne will open earlier than the market’s general hours of operations. Its hours at the public market will be as follows: Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
