OK, fine, one last concert announcement this week: This morning, Pabst Theater Group announced that folk rockers The Avett Brothers will return to Milwaukee for two shows at the Riverside Theater on Aug. 11-12.

The banjo-strumming folk band is no stranger to Milwaukee, playing the BMO Harris Pavilion both in 2012 and 2016, as well as the then-Marcus Amphitheater during Summerfest in 2013 and 2015, serving as co-headliners for the reunited Violent Femmes before returning a short two years later to headline the venue all by themselves. Then before all of that, they played the Riverside Theater two years in a row in 2010 and 2011 (the first show originally set for the Turner Hall Ballroom before selling out and having to be moved to the larger locale).

So clearly the answer to their hit song "Will You Return?" off of 2007's breakthrough album, "Emotionalism," was yes.

Since that last show in 2016, The Avett Brothers have remained busy, releasing a new album in 2016 with legendary producer Rick Rubin, "True Sadness," and scoring two Grammy nominations in 2017 for Best Americana Album and Best Americana Roots Performance for "Ain't No Man." The band also released a behind-the-scenes rockumentary called "May It Last:  A Portrait of The Avett brothers" in September last year, co-directed by "Knocked Up" director and comedy producer extraordinaire Judd Apatow.

Tickets for The Avett Brothers' latest Milwaukee show will go on sale beginning Friday, Feb. 16, at noon. For more information on tickets and the show, visit the Riverside's website

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
