Folk rockers the Avett Brothers have a fondness for Milwaukee, and the city certainly loves the band as well. Fortunately, they’ll get to reunite next summer, as the band is the second announced act for Summerfest 2025.
On Monday, the festival announced that the Avett Brothers will headline the BMO Pavilion on the second Thursday of Summerfest, June 26th. Support acts have not been announced yet.
The band is currently touring in support of their self-titled album, which came out this past May. The record is their 11th release, and the 2025 show will be the band’s 16th appearance in the Milwaukee area. It will also mark their sixth time playing the festival, and fourth time at the BMO Pavilion overall.
The show is the second announced for next year’s Summerfest, as Lainey Wilson has previously been announced to headline the same night at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater. Presale will begin on Thursday for the show, and you can sign up for early access via the Summerfest website.
There are tons of concerts happening throughout Milwaukee almost nightly, so stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more concert announcements and check out our monthly music guide to see where you can check out a gig tonight.
