Winning on the road is a difficult proposition in the major leagues. The Brewers certainly have had trouble in that department this season, but they seem to be getting a little help this week.

While watching the telecast of the Brewers-Diamondbacks game tonight on FSN Wisconsin, I was struck by how many Brewers fans were in the stands.

Director Mitch Riggin is finding a lot of Brewers jerseys, caps and t-shirts in the crowd and the transplanted Cheeseheads wearing them seem to be enjoying themselves quite a bit (especially after Gabe Gross smacked a grand slam to put the visitors ahead by five runs).

I encountered a lot of Milwaukeeans during my visits to Phoenix. Maybe Chase Field (formerly Bank One Ballpark) can become to Brewers fans what the old Sombrero used to be to Packers fans in Tampa.
