Opening Day is almost here, which means another opportunity to cheer on the Brewers while enjoying the company of friends or a day out with the family. Inevitably, that also means sunny days filled with cold brews, hot dogs and other ballpark-worthy fare.

Whether you’re planning to attend the March 31 home opener (Brewers vs. the Royals) or any other game(s) this season, here’s what you need to know about what’s new and delicious at American Family Field.

Fresh takes on ballpark favs

A number of the new items introduced by Delaware North, the hospitality partner of the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field, will be available throughout the ballpark.

Among them, guests will find two new spin-offs on the classic fried chicken sandwich. The first is a Chicken Cordon-Brew (fried chicken breast with shaved ham, Swiss cheese, beer butter onions and brown mustard on a potato bun).

The second is Maxie’s Spicy Southern (fried chicken breast, zesty hot sauce, pickles and Comeback sauce on a potato bun). Both new chicken options will be available in Sections 112, 118, 123 and 226.

There are also fresh takes on the ballpark hotdog. That includes the Enchilada Dog (corn tortilla dipped in salsa roja, melted cheese, sour cream, onion and cilantro; pictured above) as well as the Bases Loaded Potato Dog, which is topped with cheddar cheese, bacon strips, sour cream, tater tots and green onions. Both are available in Sections 110 and 208.

A brand new burger is also on the docket. The Smokin’ Gouda Burger featured twin burger patties, Gouda cheese, beer butter onions and smokey chipotle ranch on a potato bun.

The burger will be available in Sections 108, 117, 125, 210, 228, 409 and 424.

“We collaborate closely with the Brewers and Black Shoe Hospitality during the offseason to design exciting new items that fans will love,” noted Kevin Jezewski, Delaware North’s general manager at American Family Field in the release about the new foods.

“Our goal is to create a memorable and enjoyable experience for fans of all ages – and a lot of that revolves around great ballpark food."

Maxie’s Club Level

Maxie’s has also worked with Delaware North to introduce three new items on the Club Level. That includes:

  • Chicken and Andouille Jambalaya featuring blackened chicken, andouille sausage, rice, zesty creole sauce and scallions
  • Maxie's Creole Chicken Sandwich showcasing crispy fried chicken breast, provolone cheese, creole sauce and smokey mayonnaise
  • Everyone’s favorite Hurricane, a cocktail made with passion fruit, rum and a dark rum float

J. Leinenkugel’s Barrel Yard

The Barrel Yard will also be introducing a variety of new offerings. Among them is a cadre of shareable flatbreads with toppings including classic Margherita; fig & prosciutto; sausage, mushroom and onion and pepperoni and cheese.
