Milwaukee's an entertainment mecca. For our size, we support an enormous amount of restaurants, sports, performing arts and, of course, bars.

Trulia recently ranked cities based on density of eating and drinking destinations.

And today on theatlanticcities.com Richard Florida examines "The Geography of Bars and Restaurants."

Milwaukee just misses out on the top spot for bars with 8.5 bars per 10,000 households. New Orleans takes the cake with 8.6.

Entertainment matters and it's a driving force for our economy. So, cheers Milwaukee. Drink safely and let's keep our local dining and drinking scenes vibrant.
