Milwaukee's original brewery incubator, Barley to Barrel, will begin accepting applications for its second class this coming Monday, through the program's website. The 10-week program will kick off at the end of August.

In the spring of 2016, the CrafterSpace successfully took students through the inaugural Barley to Barrel program, a rigorous brewing education program. The classes covered everything from business planning, brewing, marketing, trademarking, and fundraising. Participants had the opportunity to sell two unique beers, brewed during the program, in the Milwaukee market.

The next class promises to be more robust and offer students an even more intimate experience. Thanks to the strong Milwaukee brewing community, The CrafterSpace is able to bring in more professional brewing partners and mentors for this edition of Barley to Barrel. As a result, students will be able to brew and market even more beers in smaller groups.

The Barley to Barrel program is looking for aspiring brewmasters, new brewery owners, successful restaurateurs, and enthusiastic home brewers to apply. Only a small number of seats are available for this session. The last session received over 60 applications, for that reason students are encouraged to apply early. The application process will close no later than Aug. 15.
