The Milwaukee County Historical Society hosts “Beer at the Bank: A Brew City Beer Fest” on Saturday, Feb. 24,  from 1 to 4 p.m., at 910 N. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.

The event celebrates Milwaukee's beer history in the beautiful old 1913 Second Ward Bank building that the MCHS calls home and where many of the beer barons kept their "gold."

But the event doesn't just focus on old beer stories. By including six craft breweries, it celebrates contemporary beer culture, too.

Check out MCHS' ongoing "Brew City: The Story of Milwaukee Beer and Many Lives of Milwaukee: Objects of Identity" exhibit while you taste unlimited pours of brews from Amorphic Beer, Vennture Brew Co., Ope! Brewing Co., Rookery Brewing Co., Supermoon Beer Company and MobCraft Beer.

Plus, there will be food from Turning Tables Tavern’s food truck, and you get a limited edition Brew City glass.

Tickets are $60, and $55 for MCHS members, and can be purchased online.

The event is a fundraiser for our friends at Milwaukee County Historical Society, so it benefits a great cause: an institution working hard every day to preserve and share Milwaukee's history.
