Sugar Maple

Milwaukee is a beer town, built on the backs of dedicated brewers whose passion for creating unique libations has imbued the city with pride. But which Brew City bar's beer list is the best of the best?

Some things don't change. For eight years running, OnMilwaukee readers have declared that Sugar Maple, 441 E. Lincoln Ave., in Bay View has the best beer list in town.

With 60 American craft beers on draft, it's hard to argue with the readers' vote ... but the OnMilwaukee editors did anyway, selecting Stubby's Gastrogrub & Beer Bar – another bar with an extensive selection of brews, including a collection of cellared options, as this year's pick.

Settling out just behind are runners up including the Belgian beer haven Cafe Hollander, The Brass Tap, Stubby's and Burnhearts, another Bay View tavern with a great list of brews.
