Milwaukeeans love a good drink and can be quite loyal to their favorite watering holes. That said, when you spend enough time at any given bar, you're bound to get hungry, eventually.

The fruit garnishes are only going to take you so far, so it's comforting to know that there are plenty of fine establishments in the area that understand your hunger, and appease it.

From popcorn, to peanuts to pretzels, the city-wide choices are savory and enticing after a few brewskis. But perhaps no other place nails the cravings on the head so well as Paddy's Pub, 2939 N. Murray Ave. OnMilwaukee.com readers voted it into the No. 1 slot, thanks to its bountiful nightly offerings of peanut M&Ms and Chex Mix.

We're hungry just thinking about the divine sweet and salty combination.

Paddy's snacks have become legendary, although second place finisher AJ Bombers gave the Irish pub a run for its money this round. The Water Street newcomer bombard its customers with shelled peanuts from above and yes, you can drop your shells onto the floor. Always a plus.
