Bryant's has had a mighty fine past 365 days. Esquire (the television network) dropped by for a brandy Old Fashioned on its special "Best Bars in America," then Esquire (the magazine) named the cocktail lounge as one of the best bars in the country. And now OnMilwaukee.com readers have named the hot spot the city's best lounge for the fifth straight year.

The renowned cocktail lounge, at 1579 S. 9th St., took first place by close to 100 votes. Hi-Hat Lounge, At Random (the last lounge not named Bryant's to win the honor back in 2009), Whiskey Bar and Toxic Tavern rounded out the rest of the top five.

It seems the readers can't get enough of Bryant's retro feel, low-lit atmosphere, classic tunes, quality service and, most importantly, the tasty drinks (which also earned the lounge the title of Milwaukee's best craft cocktails this year).
