The readers of OnMilwaukee.com chose the Village Pub the best bar in Milwaukee's northern suburbs ... and we agree.

In the rapidly growing entertainment area at the intersection of Oakland and Kensington in Shorewood, the Village Pub, 4488 N. Oakland Ave., is a mainstay. It outlasted the old Shorewood Inn, which became The Brit Inn and is now Three Lions.

But it's more than just a survivor – it's a magnet, drawing an eclectic crowd. At Christmastime and around Thanksgiving, it's full of local college kids coming home. Packers games bring a different crowd. And there's an after-work crowd, especially in the summer when tables are set up on the sidewalk.
