The votes are in and the winners have been selected for OnMilwaukee's Best: Eat & Drink, 2007. The results of this readers' poll, including an editors' pick, are available in this series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.
For the second time in a month, Monsoon Wok & Lounge has made headlines here at OnMilwaukee.com.
Three weeks ago, we brought you the story of the restaurant's exit from the Mo's family. Johnny Vassallo sold his interest to Michael H. Polaski, owner of Mi-Key's Downtown and one of Monsoon's initial investors.
Today, we can tell you that Monsoon, located at 17800 W. Bluemound Rd., is the winner in our 2007 readers' poll in the Other Asian category.
Monsoon, which features a fusion menu and an array of Tiki-inspired cocktails, withstood a strong challenge from the runner up, BD's Mongolian Barbecue near Bayshore Town Center.
With its Downtown location closed (and the building at 811 N. Jefferson St. now occupied by Mi-Key's), Monsoon is focusing on the Brookfield location and possible expansion to other cities.
