Hidden away on one of the nation's most industrialized rivers sits a gem of a bar that has for years given Milwaukeeans a little taste of the Florida Keys.
Barnacle Bud's is something special. We'll give you the address – 1955 S. Hilbert St. – but good luck finding it. Tucked away like no other bar in Milwaukee, it's a little easier to get to by boat.
Although there's a quaint beach shanty with a bar and a dozen tables, the outdoor deck is the place to be if the weather's smooth sailing. There, boats of all kinds dock and undock, while diners and drinkers talk, joke, smoke and lazily lick barbecue sauce off their fingertips.
Its patio is the perfect venue for an evening of drinks on a warm summer night. With live music, an oyster bar and a killer Bloody Mary, it's no wonder why Barnacle Bud's was your choice for Milwaukee's best patio -- narrowly beating out another solid choice, the Horny Hideaway.
And we agree with you, too, readers. Barnacle Bud's is the best.
