In the rapidly growing entertainment area at the intersection of Oakland and Kensington in Shorewood, the Village Pub, 4488 N. Oakland Ave., is a mainstay. It outlasted the old Shorewood Inn, which became The Brit Inn and has been closed since May 2009 because of a fire.

Packers games bring a different crowd. And there's an after-work crowd, especially in the summer when tables are set up on the sidewalk.
