The temperatures are still near the 80s in Milwaukee this week, but FM 102/1 is already thinking of snow. Specifically, their annual Big Snow Show, which will feature singer/songwriter Girl In Red.

Touring behind her latest album, “I’m Doing It Again Baby!,” which released this past April, Girl In Red is the moniker of Norwegian artist Marie Ringheim, who has been gaining momentum since blowing up on TikTok during the pandemic. That led to her debut, “If I Could Make It Go Quiet,” where she made the leap from SoundCloud to a major label. The momentum also carried her as far as opening up for Taylor Swift on select dates of The Eras Tour, including last summer's stop at Soldier Field in Chicago.

This year’s Big Snow Show is the 18th installment of the annual holiday-themed show, and it takes place on Monday, December 9th at The Eagles Ballroom. The radio station took to Instagram on Monday morning to not only announce the show, but a special celebrity guest helped to break the news:

Yup, that’s right. Twiggy the Water Skiing Squirrel announced the show. Has a water skiing squirrel ever played The Rave before? Doesn’t seem like it. Leave it to FM 102/1 to break new artists and new ground at the same time in the historic venue. The big question is, will it wear red, to be a “squirrel in red”?

Tickets for Big Snow Show 18 are up for a limited presale this Wednesday at 9 a.m. using the passcode BSS18 at The Rave website, with a general on-sale set for this Friday at 10 a.m.
