There was some concern that audience members wouldn't be able to get to the Riverside Theater on Sunday evening to see comedian Bill Maher's performance due to RNC street closures. In the end, it was Maher who couldn't make it, because of mechanical issues with his flight from Minneapolis.
Maher appeared with the plane's pilot in a video on social media that day explaining why his show was being canceled at the last minute.

Since then, the Pabst Theater Group has announced that the show, part of Maher's "WTF? Tour," has been rescheduled for Sunday, Sept. 8 at the Riverside, 116 W. Wisconsin Ave.
Tickets for the new show are available now.
If you bought tickets and/or parking passes for the postponed show, they are valid and do not need to be exchanged. If you can't make the new date, email tickets@ptglive.com by Aug. 12.
