Season 4 of "Mike & Molly" won't return to CBS until January 2014, but fans of the show can catch stars Melissa McCarthy in "The Heat" and Billy Gardell on his comedy tour. Gardell comes back to Milwaukee to perform at the Northern Lights Theater July 25-26. Whether it's been performing at the Comedy Cafe, drinking at Libby's or eating at Kopp's, he's been coming to Milwaukee since 1988.

Gardell is what he calls a "road dog." A comedian that has put in his time on the road, continually building his show and fan base. He's a big, funny and humble man that said, "For anyone that thinks they're famous, they should have to go to Graceland. That will humble you and make you realize that you're famous like a booger compared to Elvis."

His live comedy show isn't a representation of the character he plays on "Mike & Molly," rather it is an insight into his own past, present and future. He tells it like it is and is easily relatable. In his Comedy Central special "Halftime" Gardell joked about having a "sloppy first half of his life." He's only 43, but maybe that's why he wants to retire by the age of 50 to spend more time with his own son.

Gardell's web page boasts of "stories about his rough childhood, wild adolescence and new family life are executed with the skill of a master craftsman." Witness those stories when he comes back to Milwaukee this week.

In today's Kramp Cast comedian/actor Billy Gardell of CBS's "Mike & Molly" joins me to chat about going to Graceland with his dad, getting in trouble as a kid and hanging out on Milwaukee's historic Brady Street.
