Work continues on Story Hill BKC, the new coffee shop/restaurant/retail shop from the owners of Maxie's and Blue's Egg.

In fact, if you take a drive past the location at 5102 W. Bluemound Rd., you'll see that the work on the building is slowly transitioning from the demolition stage into renovation -- a big step forward, considering all the work that needed to be done on the space.

"We are in final negotiations with the contractor and the subcontractors," says co-owner Joe Muench, "And hammering out the details on the exact placement of power and plumbing."

Although photos still show a relatively unfinished space, the crew has made significant progress since beginning construction earlier this year on the space, which previously housed the Goldfish uniform shop.

According to Muench, they are shooting to be ready for an early August opening, although no firm date has been set.
