"Bar Month" at OnMilwaukee is brought to you by Miller Brewing Company, calling Milwaukee home since 1855. For the entire month of March, we're serving up fun articles on bars, clubs and beverages – including guides, the latest trends, bar reviews, the results of our Best of Bars poll and more. Grab a designated driver and dive in!

Milwaukee is on a roll when it comes to hosting events. First we learned about That Big One in July 2020 and today we learned Milwaukee was chosen as one of 10 cities nationwide to host The Bloody Mary Festival in 2019.

The Bloody Mary Festival-Wisconsin will take place on the plaza in front of Fiserv Forum on Saturday and Sunday, June 22-23 and will be the first time that the national celebration will take place in our state.

Each day of festival has two sessions from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 3 to 6 p.m. The general admission cost is $45.50 and $55.50 for an early entrance VIP ticket.

The largest event of its kind, The Bloody Mary Festival supplies innovative and crafty Bloody Mary mixes, curated by its team of Bloody Mary aficionados and made by local bars and restaurants. Guests will have the opportunity to taste all of the cocktails before voting for their favorite via the "People’s Choice Award." A panel of industry judges will also select the "Best Bloody Mary in Wisconsin."

The festival goes beyond cocktails and includes many local businesses sampling and selling food, beverages, crafts and more. Live music, temporary tattoos and photo ops will also be in the mix.

"Milwaukee restaurants offer amazing Bloody Marys, and it’s about time that we celebrate them in an event of this magnitude," said Michael Belot, Senior Vice President of Bucks Ventures and Development.

"The plaza in front of Fiserv Forum is a prime destination for outdoor entertainment, and we are delighted that the festival organizers selected the plaza to be the site for the first-ever Bloody Mary Festival in Wisconsin."

So will The Bloody Mary Festival-Wisconsin be the only city in the festival circuit to offer a chaser, since we know the tiny complementary beer is not provided nor understood by other states? We hope so.
