Your guide to having a great summer is brought to you by Potawatomi Hotel & Casino and Peoples State Bank.

After two years of cancellations, Brady Street Festival is back as Brady Street BID announced this morning that the beloved summer festival will return Saturday, July 30.

"To the delight of our residents and businesses, the Brady Street Festival will return this July to showcase our eclectic neighborhood," said Teri Regano, owner of Regano's Roman Coin, in a release. "The festival promises to have a little something for everyone."

This year's edition will mark the first Brady Street Festival since 2019. The past two years, the festival was canceled due to concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hosted from 11 a.m. until midnight, the festival's grand return will feature three stages of live local music, more than 80 vendors and exhibitors on the East Side main drag, interactive activities and other fun events stretching down nine blocks of Brady Street – plus a chance to highlight some of the new restaurants, bars and businesses that have moved into the neighborhood in recent years.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
