They may be staggering to the finish line, but the Brewers haven't given up on the 2008 season just yet.

It's just that they want you to start making plans for 2009.

The Brewers released their schedule this afternoon and they open the 2009 campaign with a game against the Giants on April 7 in San Francisco.

The home opener, which is an unofficial Milwaukee holiday, is Friday, April 10 against the Cubs. That's the first game of a three-game series that wraps up April 12, which happens to be Easter Sunday.

The Brewers host two border rivals -- the Chicago White Sox (June 12-14) and Minnesota Twins (June 23-25) -- in interleague play. They play interleague road games against Minnesota (May 22-24), Cleveland (June 15-17) and Detroit (June 19-21). Here is the complete schedule.
