Looking for a new way to brunch?
Take in the gorgeous view of the City of Milwaukee Skyline from one of the Downtown’s most scenic lakeshore parks during Brunch by the Beach, a family friendly gathering hosted by the Friends of Lakeshore State Park, a non-profit volunteer-based organization dedicated to making the park the premier lakefront destination for education, conservation and recreation.
The event, which will take place on the large lawn area at Lakeshore Park just across from Pebble Beach from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 10
Food and beverages will be available for purchase from food trucks including Bebe’s Bistro, Tots on the Street and Meat on the Street, live music from Wisconsin troubadour David HB Drake and a variety of family friendly activities, including Aerobie on the expansive park lawn.
A drop-in booth will offer attendees the opportunity to learn more about the eggs and life cycles of some of the native wildlife at the park. Meanwhile, the Department of Natural Resources will be on site with a fox snake from the Havenwoods State Forest, Wisconsin’s only urban forest.
Families are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and camping chairs. Kite flying and other outdoor activities are also encouraged during the event.
"We’re excited to be hosting our first ever food truck event in the park," says David Wenstrup, president of Friends of Lakeshore State Park. "We see this as a fun way to bring the greater Milwaukee community together to enjoy our beautiful park and delicious food from a few of the wonderful food trucks we have in the area."
