Cafe Benelux is routinely voted as having one of best patios in the city, and the Third Ward locale is hoping to make it even better – or at least certainly a bit more unique – with the addition of large heated domes this winter.
Benelux will introduce the Lux Domes, six private heated domes seating up to eight guests at a time, late this November. Visitors will be able to reserve a 90-minute slot inside the domes – each reservation coming with a complimentary drink package and keepsake mugs, along with festive food and beverage packages ordered Stammtisch style (aka ordered before arrival and served at the start of the time slot) available as an add-on – on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights this winter.
"We wanted to create a way for Milwaukeeans to enjoy the city during our cold and dark winter evenings that was an experience unlike any other in the city," said Dan Herwig, director of brand and marketing for Lowlands Group, in a press release.
"We’ve seen similar rooftop experiences in London and Boston add life to those cities in their harsh winters, so we figured Milwaukee would be a great fit for something similar."
It seems three domes will no longer be enough for Milwaukee.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
