What was once Indian is now Italian on Milwaukee's Old World Third Street. Transforming the space formerly occupied by Jewel of India, Capone's Grotto and Little Italy Olive Oil Company bring the food and the atmosphere of the old country with new restaurant and bar renovations.

Occupying two storefronts, Capone's Grotto will be one part family-style restaurant and one part late-night bar. The restaurant will serve everything Italian, from pizza and lasagna to sandwiches and spaghetti.

The bar / restaurant planned to open mid-September but delays pushed the launch back to early October.

For those who loved Jewel of India, not to worry. The restaurant relocated to 5114 S. 108th St. and operates under the new name Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant.
