Here's some news to make you cry pretty – tears of joy, that is.
Country star Carrie Underwood today announced her upcoming Cry Pretty 360 tour, which will include a stop at the Fiserv Forum on Thursday, June 20.
Maddie & Tae, as well as Runaway Jane, are currently scheduled to open the blockbuster show, which will feature the stage in the middle of the arena, offering – as the tour's name suggests – a 360-degree setting for the concert.
After winning the fourth season of "American Idol," Underwood grew into one of the biggest names in the male-dominated country music scene, selling more than 65 million records worldwide – with her latest, "Cry Pretty," set to add significantly to that number when it comes out Sept. 14. She's also provided the theme music for "Sunday Night Football" and Super Bowl LII ("The Champion"), won seven Grammy awards as well as countless country music trophies, and charmed sold-out crowds of country fans and non-fans alike across the globe.
You don't have to take my word on that last one: Our pop country-agnostic Molly Snyder dug her Summerfest set in 2015. (Underwood would return to Milwaukee the following year for a show at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, her most recent visit to town.)
"Over the last decade, we have watched Carrie Underwood go from 'American Idol' winner to an American music sensation," said Fiserv Forum general manager Raj Saha, in a release. "We cannot wait to get blown away when she plays the Fiserv Forum on June 20, 2019."
Tickets for the show will go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, at Ticketmaster.com.
Oh, and Carrie Underwood also announced that she's pregnant with her second child today. Big day for her!
