In recent years, it has become commonplace for minor league teams to change their entire identity for a day or two. The Milwaukee Admirals know a thing or two about that. Now, the Lakeshore Chinooks are getting in on the act, trading out their fish-themed look for an ode to, well, the beer belly.

On Wednesday, the team announced that for one weekend, the team will rebrand as the Wisconsin Beer Bellies.

On July 26 and 27, the team will take the field in special uniforms during a pair of home games against the Wausau Woodchucks at Kapco Park in Mequon.

An Instagram post from the team on Wednesday showed off the new logo and teased the fresh look. The caption called the uniforms and name “A nod to Wisconsin & our love for beer. The best bods in baseball are here.”

Merchandise featuring the Beer Bellies branding will go on sale Wednesday through the team’s website. Tickets for the weekend games, as well as the rest of the season's home games, are also available on the Chinooks’ website.

Let's go, Beer Bellies!
