Last month, OnMilwaukee reported that Clementine's would be opening in the former Swig's Bar, 3143 S. Clement Ave.

Two veteran service industry workers, Amanda Delsart and Robin Koutecky, purchased the Bay View tavern this summer and have spent the last couple of months wading through logistics and freshening up the space.

After a successful soft opening this weekend, Clementine's opens to the public on Friday, Oct. 1. Clementine's will open at 6 a.m. daily for third shift customers – or all-night partiers – and will close at midnight during the week and 2:30 a.m. on weekends.

Koutecky worked at the Mad Planet for 31 years and Delsart tended at the Mad Planet for almost a decade as well as the Y-NOT II

"We just want to be a good bar with great service where everyone feels at home,” says Delsart. “That is literally all we want.”
