National Tooth Fairy Day is Thursday, Aug. 22 and Community Smiles Dental plans to celebrate. The dental group will host a special one-day fundraising campaign to help “give the tooth fairy a much-needed day off” by making a donation to support local dental care.

Community Smiles Dental will match every dollar that's donated by the community – up to $10,000 – to provide high quality dental care to thousands of Greater Milwaukee kids. This fundraising effort is made possible by the The Mallinger Family Foundation.

The cute promotion is based on the lore of the Tooth Fairy – and giving her a day off.

“The tooth fairy works tirelessly year-round, ensuring that children’s lost teeth everywhere are collected," says Scott Marshall, chief executive officer for Community Smiles Dental. "So, (we're) stepping in to keep the smiles shining at our dental clinics while the Tooth Fairy recharges their wand and rests their wings,”
