Do you believe it?

Reports indicate that Brett Favre has told the Vikings he won't play this season because his surgically repaired left ankle isn't responding.

When news began filtering out this morning, the sports world encountered an earthquake that eclipsed LeBron James and "The Decision" from a few weeks ago.

With all due respect to LeBron, Favre is still "The King" when it comes to off-field drama. Two years removed from his divorce with the Packers, Favre will still dominate the local newscasts and talk radio airwaves today.

The question is, do you believe it?

Is Favre really ready to ride his tractor into the sunset? Will Tavaris Jackson or Sage Rosenfels really be under center when the Vikings visit Lambeau for a Sunday night game on Oct. 24?

Stay tuned.

If history has taught us anything, it's that the fun is just beginning.
