After tossing three interceptions in the Vikings' 14-10 loss to Miami Sunday, Brett Favre is facing tough questions about his role in Minnesota's 0-2 start.
A poll on the Minneapolis Star Tribune's Web site showed Sunday night that 47 percent of voters blamed the 40-year-old for the Dolphins loss.
"I know this much," Favre told reporters after the game, "0-2 is no good."
For the season -- and yes, it is early and Favre is playing without wideout Sidney Rice -- he's completed 37 of 63 passes (58.7 percent) for 396 yards and one touchdown. Favre's passer rating is 58.1.
Favre has four interceptions this season. He had seven in all of 2009.
His decision to skip training camp before deciding to return for another season continues to draw the ire of some football pundits, who blame Favre's early season struggles on a lack of timing and rhythm that could have been developed during preseason workouts.
"One of the biggest reasons I wanted to not play was dealing with losses," Favre said.
"I don't know how many times I've been 0-2. I don't know how many times I've been 2-0. I know it feels a lot better to be 2-0. I came back to give this team a chance to win and to be a part of it. My hope is that we still do that. I know it's going to be tough."
There's still time for No. 4 to turn it around, but it sure does look like the magic is missing this time around.
