OnMilwaukee was proud to sponsor the successful Food from the Bar program this summer with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.
We’re also pleased to announce that the program, a competition between local law firms, raised $23,112.50, which was a 65 percent increase from last year.
"This year’s Food from the Bar competition was amazing. We are so grateful to everyone who participated," said Patti Habeck, president of Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. "It’s so inspiring to see what can happen when people come together – even in a friendly competition – to work together to solve hunger."
In addition to the dollars raised, the competition brought in 1,132 pounds of food to the food bank, and 52 volunteers contributed 106 hours of service.
"All in all, this year’s Food for the Bar campaign raised enough food and funds to provide 75,000 meals to local families facing hunger. It was truly remarkable," noted Habeck.
