We’ve been eagerly following the progress of the proposed Riverwest food truck park in the former Zak's / Humboldt Gardens building at 2249 N. Humboldt Ave. (a.k.a. 1025 E. North Ave.) over the past three years.

Not only does the project preserve an historical building, but it has the potential to transform a long-vacant establishment into a vibrant community gathering place. It also promises to provide delicious food and a launchpad for burgeoning culinary talent in our city.

Invest in the project

The good news is that Dark Horse Development and Brew City Contractors are well on their way to bringing the project to fruition. But they are hoping to boost the project with a little help from local people.

Clarence Morse, who is spearheading the project, will be presenting his pitch for the project to Fund Milwaukee on Tuesday, May 6 at 6 p.m. at Amorphic Beer, 3700 N. Fratney St.  RSVPs are required and membership is required (see information below).

Morse’s goal is to raise $100,000 in loans from local investors to get the project across the finish line.

What's Fund Milwaukee?
