Gallery Night MKE offers the chance to gallery hop, shop, drink and eat in numerous Milwaukee neighborhoods: Historic Third Ward, Walker’s Point, East Town and other Downtown neighborhoods.

Gallery Night MKE events showcase art from photography to sculpture to drawing, painting and everything in between. Admission to the galleries is free during designated event hours.

The 2023 season launches Friday, Jan. 20 and Saturday, Jan. 21 with 30 participating spaces throughout four Milwaukee neighborhoods.

Gallery Night MKE will also take place the weekends of April 21-22; July 21-22 and Oct. 20-21.

For its winter event, Gallery Night MKE partners with Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 for a preview party on Thursday, Jan. 19 from 4:30 to 8 p.m., at Cathedral Square Park to welcome a new geometric art installation called "Lightfield." The preview party will feature an ice bar carved by Art Below Zero, s’mores and local DJs.

“Lightfield” is the work of Ukrainian and Canadian artist duo HYBYCOZO and it will transform the area into an immersive public art installation through May 5. The multicolored, large-scale art display will feature eight ground sculptures and 16 hanging lanterns suspended from the park's trees.

Please note: “Lightfield” is the only Gallery Night MKE event that will be on view on Jan. 19. All other galleries and spaces will be open on Friday, Jan. 20, and/or Saturday, Jan. 21, only.
