Deer District today added the latest piece to its Downtown hub: Gather, a new event space found on the second floor of Good City Brewing, just across from Fiserv Forum.

The 6,000-square-foot space was previously occupied by Good City Brewing when it opened its Deer District location in early 2019. However, due to the financial hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic, Good City reverted the upstairs space back to the Milwaukee Bucks and Deer District's control. The local craft brewery continues to run the first-floor taproom.

The newly rebranded and revamped event space hosts wedding, parties and other gatherings with a customizable space featuring an outdoor balcony, in-house catering from Fiserv Forum's food and beverage provider Levy, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering a great view of Fiserv Forum and the bustling courtyard in front. Reservations at Gather also offer a dedicated events coordinator, custom lighting options, event equipment and more.

"We’re thrilled to open another premier event space in Deer District," said Bucks and Fiserv Forum President Peter Feigin, in a release. "Gather’s convenient location, spectacular views and commitment to superior customer service make it a premium space for any event, party or gathering. We look forward to hosting many memorable and special events of all types."

Reservations are available for the end of 2021 through 2023. To score a reservation, visit Gather's website. And for a guide to other hot spots in Deer District and beyond, click here

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
