To celebrate 25 years in Oak Creek, Georgie Porgie’s Treefort Restaurant is hosting a 25th anniversary community celebration on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Oak Creek location at 9555 S. Howell Ave.

The free event will include inflatables, games courtesy of Chasing Tales in Oak Creek and face painting for the youngest Treefort fans. In addition, the Oak Creek Police Department will be at the event with its K9 Unit, and the Oak Creek Fire Department will also stop by. A special presentation, including words from Oak Creek Mayor Steve Scaffidi, will take place at 1:30 p.m. and be followed by a custard-eating contest.

Pleasant) will celebrate with $2 specials throughout the month of October. Patrons should sign up for Georgie Porgie’s emails or follow the restaurant on Facebook for more details.
