Melanie Whitlow, her husband Steve, and their son Vincent are moving from Milwaukee's Riverwest neighborhood – where they resided for many years – to Vancouver, Canada this summer. On The Lily, she details her reasons and writes about the "7 places she’ll miss."

Read the full story here and on Washington Post where this feature called "The Goodbye" also runs.

She’ll miss The Domes, Scardina Specialties, the Milwaukee Public Museum and more. But, I have to wonder  based on this 2014 interview by Molly Snyder, will she leave the boa behind with her family, or will it cross the border with her to Canada? Hmmm.

Boa or no boa, safe travels and remember  Milwaukee’s always home.
