Last week, Harbor House executive chef Carlos DeLeon resigned his position. Former chef de cuisine, Zach Espinosa, was promoted to the top spot.

Harbor House, run by the Bartolotta Restaurant Group, opened last July in the former Pieces of Eight space on the edge of Lake Michigan. The seafood restaurant and bar is one of the few private establishments on the lakefront.

DeLeon, a native of Mexico, has been in Milwaukee for more than a decade. He got his start cooking on the line at Ristorante Bartolotta and later moved on to Lake Park Bistro, where, under Adam Siegel, he served as sous chef and chef de cuisine.

Espinosa is a Wauwatosa West grad and was chef de cuisine for Bartolotta Catering at the Grain Exchange before moving into the same role at Harbor House. His wife, Katie, became general manager at Bacchus in February.

In 2010, Harbor House won "Best View" in's Best Dining contest.
