Hello Falafel, the Middle Eastern inspired fast casual restaurant at 2301 S. Howell Ave., will launch brunch service beginning at 10 a.m. on Sunday Feb. 26.
Brunch items will include breakfast mezze plates, olive oil granola with fresh and dried fruit and coconut labneh, charred eggplant "egg-in-a-basket" served with harissa. There will also be fresh pastries and shakshuka with slow-cooked eggs. Both vegan and gluten-free items will be available.
Thanks to a newly acquired liquor license, Hello Falafel will also serve specialty mimosas made with freshly squeezed juices during brunch.
"We have the ability to do such cool juices, and sparkling wine just makes it even better," notes co-owner Melissa Buchholz. "Think cucumber and mint juice with cava, or maybe strawberry pineapple juice with bubbly rose."
The brunch menu will be served along with Hello Falafel’s regular menu on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., or until it runs out. Brunch dishes will also be available for carry-out.
