Milwaukee is blessed with an abundance of unique places that – frankly – we all need to visit and support more often.

One is the Boerner Botanical Gardens at Whitnall Park in Hales Corners.  I’ll admit it’s been years since my last visit.  So, I thought I’d tempt you to attend Friday’s "In the Gardens" fundraiser.  It’s an annual event from the Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens and it runs 6-9 p.m. at the gardens.

It’s $125 ($100 is tax deductible) and you’ll get appetizers from Bartolotta Catering, an illuminated walk through the gardens (the first time the gardens have been illuminated for evening viewing), music from the Terry Smirl Trio and the good feeling that you’re helping keep the gardens growing and beautiful.
