Irish Fest 2013 won't happen for another nine months, but organizers have reason to celebrate right now.

Milwaukee Irish Fest, the largest celebration of Irish music and culture outside of Ireland, has received three awards from the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA).

Two awards were for Milwaukee Irish Fest's mobile website and one was for a sponsorship video. The festival also won a second-place award for its 2011 print advertising sales.

IFEA is an international organization which assists festival and event professionals with resources, information, education and networking.

"IFEA recognizes the best-of-the-best in festival and event marketing worldwide," said Patrick Boyle, executive director of Milwaukee Irish Fest, in a press release. "It’s truly an honor to have our festival recognized on such a global stage."
