It’s been years since Juto, the sports bar serving up Asian-inspired small plates, closed its doors at 605 W. Virginia St., just across the street from Conejito's.

The venue, which became Jackee’s in early 2015, initially served up bar food including ribs, chicken wings and the like. But it became known primarily for its bar, DJs and karaoke nights.

Now, thanks to Chef Phon of the Meal-Wok-E Fusion Food Truck and Chef Tony Bounyong, a brand new Asian fusion menu is being served on Friday and Saturday evenings from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

The menu features pork egg rolls (three for $5), papaya salad ($5), Thai chicken wings (five for $6), Thai sausage with rice ($7), pho with the choice of steak, meatballs or shrimp ($7), pad Thai ($10), lad na ($10) and a brownie with ice cream and caramel drizzle for dessert ($5).

Jackee’s is open Wednesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
