Summerfest ended a week ago, but the BMO Harris Pavilion refuses to let the lakefront stop rocking in 2014. It was already announced that soulful pop star Lorde will hit the stage on Sept. 26, and that came after the Pavilion's first big bonus show of the year, Vampire Weekend, back in June.
With those already in the books, the venue, in collaboration with The Pabst Theater, announced yet another big performance this morning: Journey.
The "Don't Stop Believin'" rockers – currently on tour with Steve Miller Band – will make their way to the BMO Harris Pavilion stage on Wednesday, Sept. 3 for a 8 p.m. show. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and tickets – ranging from $45.50 to $75.50, as well as $250 for VIP seats – go on sale beginning Friday, July 18.
The last time the classic rockers came to Milwaukee was in 2012 for a show at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Their current lineup includes original members Neal Schon and Ross Valory, longtime members Jonathan Cain and Deen Castronovo, and Arnel Pineda, the group's lead vocalist since 2007. An opener for the show has yet to be announced.
